Carrie Underwood has been a very welcome addition to the American Idol judging panel this season, and has wowed fans with everything from her personality to her advice to her outfits.
The 42-year-old eight-time Grammy-winner replaced Katy Perry as a judge for Season 23, joining longtime judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan and evidently fitting in very well. But while ABC recently confirmed that the singing competition has been renewed for another season, it didn’t actually confirm if the “Hate My Heart” singer would be returning as a judge, sending her fans into an absolute panic.

‘American Idol’ Confirmed For Another Season
If you recall, the official American Idol and ABC Instagram accounts posted a video confirming that the show will be returning for another season on May 9th, much to the delight of its loyal army of fans.
“Dim the lights… here we go. #AmericanIdol is coming back for another season!” the accounts captioned the joint post. But as there was no word on the judging panel, the “Before He Cheats” singer‘s fans were concerned that she may not be returning, and made their opinions known in the comments.

Carrie Underwood's Fans Want Her To Come Back For Another Season
"I hope Carrie comes back," commented one fan. "Yay! Please make sure Carrie is a judge next season! She is super fun!! Love her so much!," exclaimed a second, followed by the red heart emoji. "@carrieunderwood I hope you're coming back for the next season," wrote a third.
"I think this has been my favorite season! The contestants are all so genuine and immensely talented! Carrie has brought a more wholesome aspect to the show as well," noted a fourth, as a fifth suggested that the former American Idol winner was a better judge than the "Roar" hitmaker, writing: "I actually hope Carrie returns, she has been a breath of fresh air, I feel she is [better] than Katy, Katy did not seem genuine, Carrie does."

The same fan added: "Honest and supportive, humble and talented. Plus, she brought us 'faith night.' Good choice, and I hope all 3 come back."
