Carrie Underwood brought her signature country-rocker style to her Iowa State Fair performance over the weekend, and fans are loving her sultry summer outfit! The Denim & Rhinestones hitmaker, 39, showed off not only her powerhouse vocals at the concert, but also an epic outfit composed of a grungy yellow flannel over-shirt, a shimmering, dark, multicolor bodysuit underneath, and a classic, fraying pair of denim cutoff shorts. To top it all off, Underwood further emphasized her ultra-toned legs with studded black combat boots and accessorized with shiny metal jewelry.

During her performance, which took place at the 2022 State Fair Grandstand stage in Des Moines, Underwood pleased fans with live, revamped renditions of a wide range of her beloved hits. From “Before He Cheats” and “Cowboy Casanova” to newer tracks off her latest record that dropped in June, Underwood garnered epic cheers and applause for her set, according to the Des Moines Register.

The publication also noted that Underwood cracked a few jokes in-between songs, like in one moment where she noticed a fan’s sign that asked if she could draw their next tattoo. “That’s too much pressure,” the Grammy winner said, adding, “I can’t draw nothing. The good Lord gave me the ability to sing some songs, he did not give me the ability to draw squat.” Before her usual encore at the end of the show, the American Idol alum jokingly told the crowd, “This is normally the part where I walk off the stage and pretend it’s over. We’re gonna skip over that and get to the good stuff.”

Underwood, who wore her long, middle-parted blonde hair down into loose waves, shared photos of her edgy stage look with her 11.6 million Instagram followers in a photo collection post. “Soooo many cool shots from the @iowastatefair,” she wrote, “This crowd was insanely loud!!!! Thanks to all who came out to party!!!” In the pics, fans can get a better look at the details of her ensemble, from her flannel shirt’s bedazzled collar to the glistening chain belt she cinched around her tiny waist.
