Carrie Underwood is currently touring the nation while promoting her record, Denim & Rhinestones, and her husband Mike Fisher is at home with their children. As the “Hate My Heart” singer, 39, continues to play concerts across the US, Fisher, 42, is reportedly unhappy about “playing househusband,” according to an insider who dished to RadarOnline.

Insider Allegedly Dishes That Underwood & Fisher Are On The Rocks

The American Idol winner and former professional ice hockey centre share two sons: Isaiah Michael, 7, and Jacob Bryan, 3. Underwood and Fisher tied the knot in 2010, and according to an insider source, their relationship is allegedly on “thin ice” while Underwood continues to tour, and Fisher reportedly wants her to spend more time at home.

“The tables have turned,” one source supposedly told the website. “She used to be paranoid about him when he was playing ice hockey and traveling around with the team with all those groupies hanging around. Now he’s paranoid about her being so many miles away.” They added, “It’s not the happy home they make it out to be. Mike’s feeling a little under-appreciated. Carrie does tend to be self-involved, so it’s up to her to make him feel cherished.”

The insider also apparently noted that before the “Ghost Story” hitmaker embarked on the road for her 43-stop tour, she promised Fisher that she would come home for family time as much as she could. Fisher, the site added, reportedly has “sworn to hold her to her word.” RadarOnline also reported that after hanging up his ice skates in 2018 after a 20-year career, sources say Fisher is “sick of taking a backseat” to Underwood’s “ever-growing ambitions and longs to return to the rink as a coach.”

A friend reportedly told the publication that Fisher “has dreams, too,” that he wants to prioritize, but can’t. “You just feel if the two of them can’t reach a happy medium in their personal and professional lives, their marriage is doomed,” the source said.

Underwood Reportedly Struggling With ‘Mom Guilt’ While On The Road

Being one of the most successful and talented country singers on the planet and raising two kids must not be an easy feat! RadarOnline also reported that Underwood is currently experiencing “mom guilt” while chasing her dreams, playing shows for her many fans and not being able to see her children every day.”Carrie tries not to let the mommy guilt rule her life,” the insider stressed, adding, “It’s a juggling act but thankfully she has Mike to help. She couldn’t do it without him.”

As much as she does suffer from the guilt, a source close to the “Before He Cheats” crooner insisted that she loves performing for her fans and keeping her music and her personal/ family lives separate. “She really missed hanging out with the crew and focusing on the music and the show. It’s always been important for her to have her own identity, separate from her home life,” the insider allegedly added. According to another source who spoke to Star, “She’s a creative person and she needs to have the freedom to roam and express herself.”

Although Underwood may be miles away from her sons at times, she doesn’t let that stop her from communicating with them as much as possible, a source said to Radar. “The kids are handling mom being away pretty well,” the source noted, referencing Underwood’s latest tour (which began in October 2022).

“Isaiah is old enough to know his mom is famous and has her work. The kids miss their mom, but they see and talk to her every day on FaceTime. She asks them about their day and even helps Isaiah with his schoolwork.” While virtual chatting can help keep her and her children connected, Underwood prioritizes coming home “for short stretches between shows,” the insider said.

They added, “Carrie’s still going to be hands-on and not let the boys run Mike ragged.” Back in 2015, Underwood opened up about “mom guilt” when her son Isaiah was just seven months old. In an interview with People, she said, “You feel guilty about every single thing, every decision you make, everything you do.”
