On the judges' panel are some fan-favorites, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and one of the show's most famous alumni, Carrie Underwood, who is officially a judge for the second time in a row. Many fans and viewers have expressed their love for the "Blown Away" singer, enjoying her mentoring of other performers while paying homage to her roots.
However, it seems that in next week's episode, which is the first of the famous 'Hollywood Week' episodes, many people in the live audience strongly disagreed with the singer, as she gave a 'spoiler alert' about it on social media earlier this week.

Although the crowd was likely booing the famous mom-of-two due to her critiques for contestants on the show, many internet users feel that, in addition to that, people are looking for the chance to be extra hard on her, given her politics.
Though she rarely made statements on politics in the past, mostly focusing on promoting charities, she made a bold statement by singing at the inauguration for President Trump last January, as the presidency transitioned from Joe Biden to him.
As soon as she received backlash for her decision, she released a statement that she "loves" her country, was "honored" to sing for the "historic" event, and told followers, "We must all come together in the spirit of unity."
Therefore, when the singer revealed that she was getting 'booed' by Idol audience members, some internet users connected the reactions.
