Carrie Underwood shocked us all when she walked the People’s Choice Awards red carpet in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday, December 6th in something that didn’t show off her toned legs. We were expecting her to walk the red carpet in a super mini dress or a stunning evening gown with a plunging front or thigh-high slit (or both!) but she majorly switched it up… and we are just as obsessed!

Carrie Underwood Wears Sparkly Black And Gold Pantsuit To The People's Choice Awards
The 39-year-old "Hate My Heart" singer – who is taking a small break from her Denim & Rhinestones tour at the moment until it resumes in February 2023 – wore a chic black and gold Any Old Iron By Andrew Clancey pantsuit featuring flared pants and a matching shirt, covered in gold floral embellishments.
And it was a huge hit on social media too, with one fan saying, "This fit should have won its own peoples choice award, it’s absolute perfection!" followed by three fire emojis, and another saying, "Gorgeous as always!! The suit and the woman!" followed by three hand clapping emojis.

The "Crazy Angels" singer completed her surprising look with matching gold pointed heels, earrings, and rings by Ginette Ny. Her hair, which looked a little shorter than usual, was styled in a voluminous tousled down do, while her makeup consisted of smoky dark lined eyes, a flawless glowing base, and a nude lip.
Carrie Wins 'Country Artist Of 2022'
While her red carpet outfit took us by surprise, the fact that she won the 'Country Artist of 2022' award didn’t, making it her 10th People's Choice Award win to date. The eight-time Grammy winner has previously won PCAs in the Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Country Song, Favorite Star Under 35, Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Female Country Artist categories, and we can safely say she deserved each and every one!
"This award, well this whole night, is all about the fans. I certainly have just the most incredible fans," Carrie said during her acceptance speech. "You guys have supported me for many years, especially out on the road this year," she continued. "Thank you, guys, so much for all the love. What a wonderful early Christmas present.
