The most highly anticipated night in the awards-season calendar is finally upon us, and red carpet queen Catherine Zeta-Jones got us into the Oscars spirit by sharing a throwback picture of one of her most iconic Academy Awards dresses of all time! And we couldn’t be more grateful to her!

The 52-year-old actress shared a video of herself walking the Oscars red carpet way back in 1999 to her Instagram account on March 23rd, and captioned it: “It’s almost that magical time of year,” followed by a heart eyes emoji. The Oscar-winner continued: “The Oscars are this weekend! I can’t wait to watch the ceremony. I’m curious, which film do you think will win best picture?”
As much as we adored the stunning black Versace gown the then-heavily-pregnant and glowing Welsh actress wore when she won the ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ Academy Award for her truly iconic role in Chicago in 2003, the red gown from her first ever Oscars red carpet back in 1999 has been living rent free in our minds for as long as we can remember; and we’re glad we get to appreciate it in all its dazzling, figure-hugging glory once again!

The Mask of Zorro actress attended the 1999 awards ceremony to introduce one of the 'Best Song' nominees, but her strapless floor-length number, also by Versace, definitely stole the show. We can’t tell you who won the awards that year, as Catherine's stunning red dress commanded all of the attention! The styling was also flawless too, as she kept her jewelry to a minimum to give the dress its deserved time in the spotlight, and she wore her hair in a glamorous half up, half down do, which allowed her simple stud earrings to sparkle through her glossy brunette locks. Her sparkly red bracelet, which matched the color of the dress so expertly, didn’t go unnoticed either!
We aren’t the only ones still obsessed with Catherine's show-stopping number, as her fans flocked to the comments section to reminisce. "That red dress was EPIC!!" one fan exclaimed.
