Charlize Theron looked right at home as she returned to Disneyland with her daughters for what seemed like one of their annual family outings at the popular park.
On Saturday, September 6, the actress was in full mom mode, accompanying 13-year-old Jackson and a group of friends through the California amusement park.
The mom of two stepped out in a laid-back style. Charlize kept things chic yet practical, wearing slightly rolled-up jeans that gave off a capri vibe, a crisp white short-sleeve shirt, and striped Adidas sneakers for comfort. Charlize Theron Takes Daughter Jackson To Disney
The group was seen going on rides with the help of a VIP tour guide. They stopped to take on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure—the new Princess and the Frog-themed log ride with its signature steep drop.
As the log plunged, Charlize could be seen throwing her arms up in the air with a big smile, while her daughter and friends rode up front, soaking in the thrills.
Theron has fully embraced her role as a proud girl mom. The Old Guard 2 star first became a parent in 2012 when she adopted her eldest daughter, Jackson, and later expanded her family in 2015 with the adoption of her younger daughter, August.
In a 2018 interview with PEOPLE, Theron reflected on her decision to adopt, revealing that it had always been at the top of her list when it came to starting a family. She explained that growing up in South Africa played a huge role in shaping that choice, as she was exposed to orphanages and children in need from a young age, experiences that left a lasting impression on her.

Charlize Theron Talks Adoption
“Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners that adoption was how my family would look one day,” Theron revealed. “This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.”
During an April 2018 interview with ELLE, she added, “I want them to know who they are, and I want them to be so f—ing proud of who they are. Building confidence for them right now is an oath I made to myself when I brought them home. They need to know where they come from and be proud of that. But they’re going to have to know that it’s a different climate for them than it is for me, and how unfair that is. If I can do something about that, of course I’m going to.”
She also got candid about raising her daughters as a single mom in 2023, telling PEOPLE, “[Being] a parent in general is nice and hard. When you’re in it, you’re like, ‘I’m never going to survive this.’ And then you get to the other side, and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing. I can’t believe I did that.’”
