While hyping up her pal’s milestone birthday, Cher sported an icy blonde, waist-length wig that featured a timeless center part and effortlessly glamorous waves. She donned a shimmering, intricate, long-sleeved and sparkle-adorned gold gown by her frequent collaborator Bob Mackie with a matching headpiece.

As for her makeup look, the Moonstruck actress went for equally glittery gold eyeshadow, voluminous lashes, subtle smokey liner, rosy blush and a glossy pink pout. Before hitting the stage, she also graced the red carpet premiere in Los Angeles in another stylish Bob Mackie look and blonde wig.

This time, the “Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves” singer sported a low-cut, long-sleeved, studded, sequined black crop top with gray glen plaid pants and black shoes. Her other standout platinum blonde wig was much shorter than the other, and styled into bouncy curls that emphasized her incredibly youthful, glowing skin even more.

Naturally, seeing Cher with platinum blonde hair sent fans into a frenzy, with many heading to Twitter to share their thoughts and praise the Mask actress's daring, fresh new look. "Cher is 76 and looks freakin' AMAZING," one user wrote shortly after the special aired as another added, "she's stunning!" Someone else added that Cher's wig "looks so great with her beautiful brown eyes," and we have to agree!
While we might consider Cher to be an undeniable style and beauty icon, she explained in a 2022 Allure interview that she doesn't see herself as one. "In my mind, an icon has always got to be old to be iconic. I can't think [I'm] old yet," she told the outlet last year."It's fun but I don't take it seriously because… does it mean you've just lasted longer than everybody else?"
She also spoke about wigs, and as devotees know, she also rocked a blonde one in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: "When I'm on stage, I make my costume changes in about two minutes, and everything gets whipped off. If I couldn't wear a wig, what would I do?"
