It seems like everything is more expensive these days, including fast food, which used to be the affordable and quick way to get a meal in on the go. Now, customers are outraged after being charged $15+ for simple meals, but even that doesn’t seem so bad compared to some orders!

One first-time Chick-fil-A customer was so shocked by the $31 charge for her meal that she made a video on TikTok about it, which has now gone viral as other fed-up fast food customers share in her outrage. Keep reading for more information.

Chick-fil-A Customer Charged $31 For Meal

User @theonlyjaymeya posted the video on her TikTok account, asking loyal customers if this is really the price they pay for fast food chicken. “For the Chick-fil-A lovers, I have a question,” she began the video. “My total is $31.30, and I’m here getting food for just me, does that sound right? Do you guys pay $30 when y’all come to Chick-fil-A?”

She then explained what she ordered: a spicy deluxe meal with a milkshake. The meal includes a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, the classic Chick-fil-A waffle fries, and a fountain drink, which @theonlyjaymeya seeming upgraded to a classic milkshake. Despite the upgrade, many customers, including @theonlyjaymeya herself, think $31 is way overpriced. “That’s $30?” she asked in disbelief at the end of the video.

"Chick-fil-A is way more pricey than other fast food places," another person said.

"Girl no that's crazy!" another person wrote.

"Chick-fil-A out here thinking they're a sit down restaurant lately!" one user commented.

"I want to know who these fast food people think they are," an angry user said. "Over $30? For a meal? From a fast food place? Bruh."

"I don't even go anymore because it's so expensive," said another.

"No way," a final user said. "You gotta be kidding!"
