Just because you’re on a weight loss journey does not mean you have to skip out on stopping by some of your favorite fast food places.

Fast food is not perfect or very healthy by any means, but sometimes, life hands you challenges or cravings, and you simply would have a much better day if you snagged yourself a tasty meal from your favorite drive-thru. Chick-fil-A is one of those beloved fast food restaurants, and luckily, a dietitian is ready to show you exactly what to order.

Registered Dietitian and YouTube creator Jaclyn London made a video about six of her recommended Chick-fil-A orders that are the “best picks” for losing weight and can help you enjoy your favorite chicken stop without throwing yourself off track. Read more about them below.

Egg White Grill & Fruit Cup

The Egg White Grill is one of the most favorable breakfast items on the Chick-fil-A menu for health experts.

 

"I love that there's 26 grams of protein built into this egg white, chicken, and cheese sandwich," says Jaclyn in her video.

 

Jaclyn suggests adding an extra egg to the sandwich to make it even more filling and protein-packed, then pairing it with a fruit cup on the side for a filling breakfast.

Grilled & Fried Chicken Nuggets

"If you're on a road trip or if you're with a group, I say get a combo of the grilled and the regular Chick-fil-A nuggets," suggested Jaclyn.

 

"That way, you can mix it up, and you get a little less breading."

 

If you love the nuggets from Chick-fil-A, getting a 12-count order with half grilled and half crispy nuggets can satisfy your cravings and save you some calories.

Chicken Strips & Kale Crunch Salad

Although the nuggets get a lot of the attention, Jaclyn notes that a 3-piece order of the chicken strips can make the base of a great and balanced meal. Chicken strips are all the rage these days, and you don't have to miss out on enjoying them if you're trying to shed some pounds.

 

"These are gonna be packed with protein, and you can add kale crunch [salad]and a fruit cup," explains Jaclyn.

Cool Wrap

If you're in the mood for a sandwich but don't want to lose a bunch of calories by getting something on a bun, you should try the Cool Wrap, which Jaclyn says contains 14 grams of fiber and 42 grams of protein. Therefore, you should not sleep on this grilled chicken wrap the next time you visit Chick-fil-A.

Grilled Market Salad with Grilled Chicken

Sometimes, you're just in the mood for a salad, even if you are at a fast food restaurant that's famous for its fried chicken. The Market salad is a great choice for summer with all of its flavorful ingredients.

 

"Love that there's green apples and some other goodness like strawberries in the Grilled Market salad," says Jaclyn.

 

"I also love that they give you the option for one grilled fillet or nuggets."

Diet Frosted Lemonade

Being on a weight loss journey doesn't mean you have to miss out on delicious and sweet beverages. If you want a refreshing treat, Jaclyn suggests getting yourself a diet frosted lemonade the next time you're at Chick-fil-A. It's still better than getting regular sugar, as Jaclyn says, it "saves you 20 grams of sugar."
