His sister, Katherine, recently shared a new picture of him on Instagram where he got to show off his weight loss transformation. Chris Schwarzenneger Shows Off His Weight Loss In A New Photo Posted By His Sister, Katherine
On Instagram, Katherine Schwarzenneger, married to Chris Pratt, shared a collection of pictures of several members of his famous family to social media, including a solo shot of her brother, Chris, standing on a boat.
Chris is a 27-year-old Michigan State graduate who is the youngest child of legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenneger and his ex-wife, Maria. His siblings, Katherine, Patrick, and more are a bit more well-known, but Chris has started making headlines after losing a lot of weight over the years.
The internet and pop culture enthusiasts mostly discovered his weight loss due to paparazzi catching him walking around with his family, but Katherine's new snap of him allowed people to see that he's been keeping up his progress. He posed in a lightweight short-sleeved white button-down and some salmon-colored swim shorts.

Once people took notice of his weight loss, which his father deemed "fantastic" in an interview, Chris began opening up more about how he changed his life, as well as what inspired him to make a change. In May, he spoke at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles and talked about how a trip to Australia made him realize he needed to get healthier.
"I made it a big [deal] like, 'Oh, I'm going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,' and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities," he explained, according to People.
He revealed that he wanted to go on fun adventures and do things like skydiving during his trip, but wasn't able to due to his weight. Finally, when he returned home, he re-evaluated his lifestyle and kicked off his weight loss by "giving up bread," one of his favorite carbs during the 40-day observance of Lent.
"I lost 30 lbs. just through that," he said.
Chris also noted that it took "a lot of trial and error" to figure out what works for him, but that he's finally in a good, healthy, and balanced place. After seeing Katherine's post, social media showed him some love, leaving comments like, "He looks amazing!"
