It’s no secret that celebrities love to switch up their looks and their A-list glam squads definitely never stop doing what they do best. However, some celebrities prefer to maintain a more natural appearance when they’re not filming or hitting the red carpets.
Christie Brinkley has joined the ranks of celebs who have decided to turn back to their roots–literally.
Brinkley recently took to Instagram via mirror selfies to explain why she is going back to her roots and being more gentle on her usual golden locks. She revealed that she was ready to say goodbye to sun-kissed blonde and hello to a more natural grey hue.
“I was scheduled for color before I left NYC 3 weeks ago but decided I would go easy on my hair and just do it when I got home…and as a result I have gone back to my roots…and boy was I ever surprised to see my ‘nature’s highlights’ are more silver than gold,’ Brinkley wrote on the Jan. 5 post.

Brinkley asked her followers to weigh in with their own opinions on hair coloring. “Sooo what do you think? Embrace the silver? Or go for the gold?” Brinkley asked. If it were up to us, we think she looks beautiful either way!
Many followers supported Brinkley’s decision and raved about the Dancing With the Stars alum’s new look--and the supermodel’s daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook couldn't agree more. “Yas silver FOX,” the supportive 21-year-old wrote on her mom’s Instagram post.
The 65-year-old has never looked better and is seen in the series of Instagram photos with her hair slicked back into a ponytail while wearing a simple black and white bikini with a white sarong.
