Christina Aguilera has had an epic year of musical and sartorial highs. And she is closing out the year with an age-defying, striking, albeit slightly controversial, look!
The five-time Grammy winner stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday, December 9th to promote the release of her upcoming concert movie, Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris. But while she was there to talk all things festive, it was her outfit that ended up getting the most attention…
Christina Aguilera Wears A Divisive Red And White Mini Dress On 'The Jennifer Hudson Show'
The 44-year-old singer flaunted her super-trim figure – which many fans believe has been achieved with weight loss injections such as Ozempic – in a red and white Di Petsa Fall 2025 sheer mini dress, featuring a high neck and the illusion of a strapless red bra and briefs underneath. Check out more pics here.
Styled by Chris Horan, the Burlesque star finished off the dress – which some social media users said seemed to be inspired by a candy cane – with matching red over-the-knee Christian Louboutin Miss Z boots with a pointed toe.
Her iconic blonde locks were styled in a side-swept voluminous curly down do, while her makeup consisted of silver eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and a plump nude lip. Her glam was undeniably flawless, but the internet wasn't so sure about the dress…

Internet Reactions
"I like the idea of this dress, but what is that pattern? The red splotch on the belly button is awful," slammed one Reddit user, adding: "They could have just done candy cane stripes and that'd have been much cuter."
"The pattern is giving 'I just had a caesarean and the stitches have burst,'" quipped a second, as a third said: "It lowkey reminds me of packaged meat." A fourth echoed: "It reminded me of the Lady Gaga meat dress. Thought it was paying homage to that at first."
"I don't know how I feel about this. I do like it styled better with the boots and overall she looks great. Just not sold on the dress itself, if that makes sense," thought a fifth, as a sixth said: "It's weird and I hate the see-through trend generally but it kind of works on her?"
"I don't like the dress truthfully, I'm not a fan of the material print nor the tail, but I love her vibe and she truly does sell the garment," a seventh chimed in, as an eighth said: "I think it sort of looks like a craft project, with the sideways tulle and that train. Interesting choice though, and I mean that in a non-derogatory way! The boots are a diva move."

"Infinite points for wearing sheer and not being naked underneath with ugly panties showing," one approving fan wrote on the same thread. "Yes! It's kinda clever and cheeky in that way. Not my favorite dress but I think she's working it 100%," thought a second.
A third exclaimed: "Exactly! THIS is what I want from sheer dress looks. Go sheer, and then have something cool underneath. I'm not obsessed with the pattern underneath here but I like the execution so much I love this look overall."
"I'm biased because I love her but I like it – not perfect, but it's fun," a fourth noted, as a fifth concurred: "I like the Xmas theme. She looks like a cute happy candy cane." A sixth added: "Melted candy cane but make it fashion – love it!"
