Concealer is like a magical paint that hides blemishes, undereye circles, and so much more. But, it can only do its job if applied correctly. As you get older, knowing even the simplest of concealer hacks can make a world of difference. Check out 4 life-saving concealer tips that every woman over 30 needs to know.

As ridiculous as it looks, drawing your concealer in a triangle under your eyes is the way to do it. Why this shape? According to Cosmopolitan, triangles do an even better job of hiding dark circles and even make your face appear lifted. Once I apply my concealer like so, I let it sit for a minute or two and then blend it with a beauty brush. Go for a shade or two lighter than your skin tone to really help cover any signs of sleep deprivation.

Concealer can even double as an eye makeup primer. Putting a dash around your eyes before applying eyeshadow ensures that your lids will stay smoky all night long.

Apply color correcter first, then foundation, then concealer that matches your skin. Color corrector works to neutralize your skin tone, so use that as a makeup base. After you've applied foundation, you won't need as much concealer since you already have some coverage. You actually use more concealer and end up wasting it if you apply before foundation. Use concealer as the finishing touch on your makeup look to cover any marks or blemishes.

According to Byrdie, applying concealer around your nose (of all places) can make you look younger and like you actually got a full eight hours of sleep the night before. Dab a bit over the dark areas near your nostrils. The results will be dramatically life changing.
