Cult-favorite brand DedCool has been changing the fragrance game with its intoxicating unisex fragrances since its launch in 2016. Now, it’s taking things up a notch by adding a new product category to its repertoire of vegan, cruelty-free scents: candles.

The brand just launched the Massage Candle, a candle that can be used as a massage oil once the wax has heated up. Massage Candle is available in Taunt, which is one of DedCool’s hero fragrances and is blended with sensual notes of amber, vanilla, and fresh dew for a sweet-yet-subtle scent.

DedCool founder Carina Chaz says the inspiration for the product came from her newly-changed relationship status and her desire to create not-so-basic ways for customers to enjoy the brand's scent catalog. "As a newly single serial monogamous, I wanted to introduce an interactive product that could be used for wellness/massage purposes, as well as an extension for couples to share during sensual moments," she shared.

Giving the candle a sustainable element was also important to Chaz. She designed Massage Candle's packaging to double as a planter to ensure that the candle has a second life once the wax is gone. Each Massage Candle comes with a package of California poppy seeds, so you can reuse the jar as a planter when you’re finished.

How To Use The DedCool Massage Candle:

Once the candle has begun to melt, blow out the flame and wait until the wax has cooled down. Then, pour a small amount into your hands and massage into the skin. The candle is made with nourishing skin ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, and aloe vera oil, so applying the wax will soften, hydrate, and condition the skin.

Pro Tip: Massage Candle can also be used to scent the skin. Add a little dab to your wrists, elbows, neck, chest, or wherever you usually put perfume or cologne and you're all set for the day!
