Despite the hate her daughter has been receiving for creating an OnlyFans Account, Denise Richards has definitely got Sami Sheen’s back. As a matter of fact, the 51-year-old actress even joined the platform just days after her daughter did.
In an interview with KTLA, Richards said, “My daughter got a lot of backlash for opening the account. I had heard of OnlyFans but I wasn’t educated on what OnlyFans was and once I started to learn about it, I really think that the creators of the site really took the best of every platform of social media and put it into one site. You own your content. The other sites, they can sell your content.”
She continued, “We all post pictures with ourselves with bathing suits on Instagram and some of the other sites that there’s no difference other than you actually own the content.”

On June 23, the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum took to Instagram and shared her thoughts on the ongoing situation. Her post wrote: “Lots of negative comments on my social this past week. I have to say, I wish I had the confidence my 18 yr old daughter has. And I also can’t be judgmental of her choices. I did Wild Things & Playboy, quite frankly her father shouldn’t be either. And to be able to ignore the negativity at her age? It took me many years and I still sometimes struggle. I’m in awe of her ability to be able to shut out the noise. Because it can destroy you.”
She added, “I recently learned about @onlyfans in the last few months. The judgement because women & men of the adult film industry are on there. I imagine they’re on Instagram & Twitter as well. Is there really a difference posting a picture of ourself in a bikini on IG? We’ve all done it. Because you get paid on OnlyFans? I’m pretty sure IG & Twitter & Facebook do quite well off of all of us. Is it so bad to control it & monetize it too? I’m sorry, but sh-t if I can get paid and at my age? to see me in a bikini?!? God bless you. Perhaps I should open my own account.”
Richards concluded, “Oh & those of you that are so judgmental…sounds like you might already subscribe to an @onlyfans account. Have a great weekend.”

And while several people supported Richards and her statement, there were also some who thought otherwise—including ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
“I do not condone this, but since I’m unable to prevent it, I’ve urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity. She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not occur under my roof,” Sheen told E! News.
Richards then clarified that she had no control over her daughter’s actions in creating the account. She replied, “This decision wasn’t based on whose house she lives in. All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgment, but she makes her own choices.”
