When you're trying to lose weight, paying attention to what you drink is as important as the food choices you make. You're already eliminating soda and sugary juice from your daily diet, so why not take an extra step in the right direction and incorporate a detox drink before meals? We're not suggesting you run out to the store and buy the most expensive formulas on the market — the most effective detox drink can be whipped up in your kitchen and is totally affordable.

Start With Apple Cider Vinegar

According to studies, adding just a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to water can help you lose weight, reduce belly fat, and decrease your blood triglycerides. This acidic drink cleanses your system and even has the ability to clear up acne and keep your skin looking radiant. Grab a bottle of raw, unpasteurized, and unfiltered apple cider vinegar and keep it on hand — it forms the basis for quite a few detox drink recipes so you'll definitely get a lot of use from it.

Lemons

Lemons are a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants that can protect cells from oxidative damage. Lemon water (especially first thing in the morning) can stimulate white blood cell production, boost your immune system, and give you more energy, which can help rev up your metabolism so that you burn more fat. Adding a few lemons to your weekly grocery list is a great idea — and they're one of the main ingredients found in this super healthy detox drink.

Apple Cider Vinegar And Lemon Detox Drink

And now for the easiest detox drink recipe imaginable: add two tablespoons of lemon juice and two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a 12-ounce glass of warm water. If you're feeling experimental and don't mind a bit of kick, sprinkle a bit of cayenne pepper into the water (that will really boost your metabolism), give it a swirl with a spoon, and enjoy. Really — it's that easy.

For great results, drink this about an hour before meals. When incorporated into a healthy diet and lifestyle that includes exercise, you should see and feel the effects of these detox drinks before you know it.
