Donald Trump has made his disapproval of Maggie Haberman’s upcoming book known, as he has called some of the claims made by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author, “disgusting.”

One of the claims Haberman made in her book, Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America, is in relation to the former president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and husband, Jared Kushner, who both worked for him during his time in the White House.

Haberman – who is also a White House correspondent for The New York Times and a political analyst for CNN – alleged that Trump had considered firing his daughter and son-in-law, and doing it over Twitter, no less, which he addressed and denied during a rally in Michigan on Saturday, October 1st.

"Ivanka and Kushner worked as advisors in the White House at the time. I had a story the other day that I wanted to fire my daughter Ivanka; that didn’t happen," the former POTUS said, adding that the allegations were: "Disgusting!"

Trump also referenced the alleged firing on his Truth Social platform on September 30th, while calling Haberman's book "fake" and "very boring and stale" among other things.

"Here we go again! Another Fake book is out, this one, supposedly very boring and stale, by self appointed head case, Failing (unfunded liability!) New York Times writer, Maggie Hagerman," Trump wrote. "In it she tells many made up stories, with zero fact checking or confirmation by anyone who would know, like me. In one case she lies about me wanting to fire my daughter, Ivanka, and Jared. WRONG, pure fiction. Never even crossed my mind. Just have to fight trouble making creeps like Maggie, and all the rest!"

Elsewhere in Haberman's book, which Trump reportedly voluntarily sat down with her for on several occasions, she alleges that the former president wanted to get hold of her phone records in order to identify her contacts within the White House, writing:  "Trump, angry about my published stories, would bellow that he wanted administration officials to obtain my phone records and identify my sources."

Trump previously said that he loves "being with" Haberman and even likened her to his "psychiatrist," but has been very critical of her book from the start, and even went as far as to say it was yet "another fake book" from a "reporter who knows nothing about me."

"Maggot Haberman of the New York Times is making up stories about my relationship with foreign leaders," Trump previously said. "She claims I speak with Kim Jong Un of North Korea, but not other world leaders. Wrong!"

More recently, Trump took to his Truth Social platform and called her a "self-appointed biographer" and a "bad writer with very bad sources."
