After stepping out of the public eye for over 3 years, Ellen DeGeneres decided it was time to make a comeback, and launched her new Netflix comedy special: For Your Approval. Unfortunately, it didn't quite have the effect she was hoping for, with reviewers calling it "unfunny" and "flat," and more so than that, it has done nothing to redeem her reputation.
"To put it mildly," a source speaking to In Touch explained, "Ellen's Netflix special did nothing to reverse her bad reputation. It all comes down to Ellen's defiant, disagreeable tone in the special."

But not only is her professional life in trouble, Ellen's relationship is feeling the effects too. According to the same source, Ellen's comeback failure "has only intensified the talk among Ellen and Portia's remaining pals in Hollywood that their marriage is in terrible shape."
With her reputation and relationship in turmoil, sources close to her are reporting she's not handling it very well. "Ellen is still angry and she's had enough," the insider explained. "Her final comedy special is the last time anyone will see her in the public eye."
