Emma Stone Stuns In An Elegant Black Louis Vuitton Gown As She Takes Home The Critics Choice Award For Best Actress—Her Second Of The Season!

Dressed in a bespoke, black Louis Vuitton gown, Emma Stone radiated sophistication and poise as she made her appearance on the red carpet of the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. The striking custom dress boasted a charming, scalloped one-shoulder neckline, a gracefully pleated floor-length skirt, and a luxurious velvet sash with glimmering ‘BB’ monograms adorning its edges, cinching her slender waist to perfection.

The ‘BB’ detailing referenced Stone’s Poor Things character, Bella Baxter. This was a fitting style choice as Stone, 35, scored the coveted ‘Best Movie Actress’ award at the ceremony for her performance in the 2023 fantasy/ black comedy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Emma Stone Glows At The Critics Choice Awards In Custom Scalloped Louis Vuitton Gown

To enhance her ensemble, the La La Land alum adorned herself with sparkling silver jewelry, which consisted of a diamond necklace a pair of cuff earrings, and a stunning pendant ring.

As for her glam, Stone wore her signature red tresses in a slicked-back updo. For her makeup look, the Cruella star went for subtle black liner, voluminous lashes and rosy blush on her high cheekbones. Stone topped it all off with a glossy berry lip.

The January 14th event took place in Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles. Stone was all smiles after being awarded 'Best Movie Actress' for Poor Things. In the acclaimed new Frankenstein-inspired film, she stars as Bella Baxter, a woman brought back to life with an infant's brain by scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe.

Beginning her acceptance speech, Stone stressed that she was in "full-blown shock" to be granted the trophy. "This is completely crazy," she said. Stone added: "Playing Bella was one of the greatest joys of my life. I got to unlearn a lot of things in playing her. Unlearn parts of shame and societal stuff that gets put on us, and I'm still working on it."

The Oscar winner continued, quipping: "This is the Critics Choice Awards — and it is about outside opinion — but I'm very grateful to the critics for this. But I'm just learning not to care what you think."

Stone then paid tribute to the other nominees in the category, specifically acknowledging Lily Gladstone for her nomination for Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Hüller for Anatomy of a Fall, Greta Lee for Past Lives, Carey Mulligan for Maestro, and Margot Robbie for Barbie.

"This doesn't make any sense, so," Stone said, regarding her win among the other talented actresses. "Thank you so much for this, it means so much to me. I was being serious. I don't know what to say," she humbly concluded.

Stone's recent triumph at the Critics Choice awards follows closely on the heels of her earlier success at the 2024 Golden Globes, where she clinched the prize for 'Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical film' category for her dazzling Poor Things performance.
