There’s no better way to celebrate the changing of seasons than to mix things up with a fresh haircut—and it seems no one knows that better than the ever-gorgeous Selena Gomez. The “Ice Cream” singer recently swapped her flirty lob for some stunning extensions and dramatic new bangs. And fans can’t get enough!
The 29-year-old actress’s incredible hair transformation was shared in a reel on Los Angeles-based Zero One Salon’s Instagram last Tuesday. We’re so happy to get an inside look at the step-by-step process—and we’re definitely taking notes!

“Summer Selena,” the caption reads. “Here’s a great way to transform your clients’ hair without having to color at all. Just add extensions! For @SelenaGomez, we added in auburn brown @greatlenthusa to create a new summer look for her!”
The video starts with a shot of Gomez’s stylists, Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee, blow-drying the singer’s silky dark brunette hair. Next up, it was time for waist-length extensions, which were carefully added to her natural hair piece by piece—the patience from both the star and her stylists is astounding! But the wait was, of course, well worth it. That length is to die for!
Before the finishing touches, the producer got a fresh trim on her typically side-swept bangs, which now have a straight, blunt look to them. The whole style is so sleek and chic! Of course, Gomez couldn’t resist some mirror shots of her new look (and some cuts of she and her stylists getting silly with some dance moves) before the whole thing was finished off with hairspray.
Although the sleek look is a major change from the wavy lob Gomez revealed back in March, the fresh look was certainly well received. Personally, we love that the star keeps us on our toes with her ever-changing beauty!
