Florence Pugh made a stunning entrance at the Don’t Worry Darling red carpet premiere during the Venice Film Festival in Valentino Haute Couture. The Black Widow star, 26, stepped out on Monday in a shimmering tulle gown with sheer, black-tinted fabric, glittering details, an epic high slit that revealed her toned legs, and a romantic, strapless neckline.

While rumors continue to spread surrounding the upcoming film’s cast (including those of a feud between Pugh and director Olivia Wilde), Pugh made her red carpet style a much more notable talking point, shining in an ensemble from the Parisian fashion house’s fall/winter ’22/’23 collection, titled “The Beginning.”

The Little Women alum’s corseted, draping item revealed sultry, curve-hugging shapewear underneath, and she paired the show-stopping piece with black pointed-toe pumps adorned with bows and accessorized with diamond Tiffany & Co. stud earrings and an eye-catching, matching necklace.

To further channel Old Hollywood glam, Pugh parted her chin-length, blonde bob to the side, which drew eyes to her makeup look for the evening, composed of shaded black eyeliner, sky-high lashes, radiant blush along her cheekbones, highlighter and a light pink lipstick hue. Gorg!

Pugh joined her co-stars on the red carpet, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, Chris Pine, Nick Kroll and director Wilde. While some fans on Twitter created memes after seeing them altogether and noted “visible tension” between Wilde, Styles and Pugh, others expressed how much they’d “rather talk about” Pugh’s epic style moment. (I mean, it is *that* captivating!)

Pugh shared 6 photo collection posts to highlight the event and share snaps with her 8 million Instagram followers. These included adorable pics with her grandmother (her date), beautiful, full-length looks at her Valentino ensemble, behind-the-scenes glimpses of her getting ready, and loving embraces with (some of her) castmates, such as her pal, Pine.
In her captions, Pugh expressed how grateful she was to be invited to the festival, to rock such an instantly iconic dress, and offer a “massive congratulations to everyone standing on that carpet.”

Unfortunately for Pugh’s fans, insider sources reportedly revealed to Rolling Stone that the actress will not attend any further press or Don’t Worry Darling premiere events, despite being the thriller film’s leading lady. While the film will hit US theaters on September 23, we supposedly shouldn’t expect to see Pugh and Wilde together on any red carpet in the near future as rumors of their alleged feud are alive and well.
“From what I understand, there is friction, but I don’t know why,” one source allegedly on the film’s set told Rolling Stone, speaking about Wilde and Pugh. “It’s pretty clear she’s choosing not to be a part of the PR,” the source reportedly said of Pugh. “It’s clearly not beneficial to Olivia to not have her be a part of the PR. It has to be a Florence decision.”
Additionally, Warner Bros. confirmed in a press release that neither Pugh nor co-star Pine would “participate in the New York Event, an IMAX Live screening and Q&A that will stream to more than 100 IMAX theaters, with the film’s cast,” according to the publication.
