Along with her frock, the Little Women starlet, sans makeup, wore her signature short blonde tresses slicked back for the cover of Vogue. To complete her edgy but classic look, Pugh opted for a gold septum piercing hoop that matched the straps of her dress.

Pugh’s cover story included seven other portraits. All of the photos seem to be taken in a kitchen (maybe a reference to her upbringing in her father’s restaurants or her infamous “Cooking With Flo” Instagram series). The rest of the cover story features the British actress in a range of designer clothing. Each look was perfectly designed to show off her unique style. The stylist dressed Pugh in a variety of high-end fashion brands including Valentino, Dior, Loewe, Proenza Schouler, Alaïa, Jil Sander, and Erdem.

Florence Pugh Opens Up About Her Love Of Acting And The Sheer Valentino Dress Uproar
Florence Pugh is sharing her truth and getting candid about her love of acting and her personal style choices. Pugh says on acting for the Vogue cover, “Being onstage is a different thing because you’re in front of people who need to be entertained now…And I know that when I do a play, it’s going to mean a different thing. Whereas if I’d done it five years ago, not as many people would’ve come. I suppose the more time that I’ve avoided it, the more the pressure builds.”
She then opened up to the publication about incorporating sheer fabrics in her personal style. “I’ve never been scared of what’s underneath the fabric,” said Pugh. “If I’m happy in it, then I’m gonna wear it. How can my nipples offend you that much?”
She added, “I know that some people might scoff at me saying that, but if a dress with my breasts peeking through is encouraging people to say, ‘Well, if you were to get raped, you would deserve it,’ it just shows me that there’s so much more work to do.” The controversy took off after the Wonder actress wore a sheer pink Valentino gown at the 2022 Valentino show in Rome.
She responded to the criticism, writing on Instagram at the time, “Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it. Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during, or even now after.”
Florence Pugh’s Cooking Video For ‘Vogue’
Vogue also posted a video of Pugh cooking to their YouTube channel. The actress made herself comfortable in another kitchen, whipping up vodka martinis and garlic crostinis. Pugh is well known for her Instagram series “Cooking With Flo.” Instead of her trademark yellow apron with “Florence” embroidered on it, she donned a red Alexander McQueen dress while demonstrating her cooking skills for the publication.
Pugh explains her love of cooking in the video. “Cooking has been a huge part of my life,” she began. “My dad is a cook. My mom is a cook. I always like making a few mistakes because, to me, that’s where the best food and cooking comes from,” she said.
