Noticing that you’re experiencing more hair fall than usual? Experts say that most thinning hair sufferers experience gradual hair loss due to the health of their scalp, crediting conditions like dandruff to be the biggest causes.

New York City dermatologist Francesca Fusco says that untreated chronic dandruff is actually one of the leading causes of thinning hair due to the build-up it causes on the hair follicles, which then hinders its growth. The scratching and itchiness associated with dandruff can also interfere with hair growth because injure your hair follicles and lead to hair loss.

If you’re stuck on how to combat dandruff and prevent thinning hair, dermatologists recommend opting for products that gently exfoliate the scalp and contain stimulating ingredients to promote growth.  “It’s important to cleanse your scalp and have good scalp hygiene. This includes cleaning the scalp by removing dirt and debris that can build up and spread, making the hair dull and flaky,” Dr. Fusco explains.

Hair conditioner, serum, and shampoo for vibrant hair

What It Does:

The Caffeinated Scalp Scrub is made with natural ingredients and designed to promote healthier, shinier hair that stays cleaner for longer, acting as skincare for the hair.

As its name suggests, caffeine is the main ingredient in Frank Body's Caffeinated Scalp Scrub, which uses green coffee for its high antioxidant count and other hair-healthy nutrients. Research suggests that the ingredient has a profound impact on hair growth and health. A recent study published in the International Journal of Dermatology found that caffeine stimulates hair shaft elongation and prolongs the growth cycle by blocking the effects of DHT, the hormone responsible for damaged follicle and hair loss.

Other key ingredients include rosemary, which promotes hair growth and strength, eucalyptus, which reduces inflammation in the scalp so you grow healthy hair from a healthy place, and peppermint, which increases blood circulation around the scalp and helps to remove product build-up.

Step 2:

Take a pea-sized amount of Stimulating Scalp Scrub and massage into scalp. Continue to party & repeat until the scalp is covered. Some babes prefer to start from the base of their scalp and work upwards.

Step 3:

Lather and rinse with shampoo, followed by conditioner. Repeat 2-3 a week as needed.
