This year’s Golden Globes are special for Ortega because it’s the first time she’s been nominated for a trophy. The actress was nominated for Best Television Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series for her performance on Wednesday. The show itself received a nomination for Best Television Series in the Musical or Comedy category.

Jenna Ortega Is Decked Out In Gucci For The Golden Globes
The Netflix star left Wednesday at home for the awards show. Instead of a dark, quirky fit, Ortega wore an ethereal goddess-like Gucci gown (Salma Hayek also wore a Gucci frock to the Golden Globes!). The smoky rose-colored dress was head-to-toe pleats. The drapey, billowy sleeves and train skimmed the floor. Thanks to its many cutouts, the dress showed off her abs.

The Wednesday actress layered her silver Tiffany & Co. necklaces for a bit of edge but kept her glam soft. Ortega’s alluring eye makeup consisted of graceful winged eyeliner, white eyeliner along her bottom lash line, and a nude lip. She styled her recently cut choppy shag hair in perfectly tousled waves.

Ortega told E! on the red carpet that she found it “incredible” to be nominated as a Latina actress and was delighted to see how popular Wednesday was. “We spent so much time on this show and worked really hard on it, so if people get any sort of joy or happy feeling from it that makes me very happy,” the Scream star said, continuing, “I’ve been doing this for over a decade now so I feel like I’ve watched Hollywood gradually open up its doors and see more Latinos and Latinas in leading roles and to be here tonight, I feel very fulfilled.”

This isn’t the first time that Jenna Ortega shut down the red carpet. At the Wednesday red carpet premiere, the Disney actress turned critically acclaimed star opted for an all-black, lacy fit that screamed gothic glamor. Ortega promoted her Addams Family Netflix spinoff in a sultry Versace gown that featured a low neckline, a cut-out lace bodice, and a thigh-skimming high slit that revealed her long legs.
To complete her look, the You alum wore her long brunette tresses straight, parted in the middle, and covered her hair with a spooky black lace veil. She accessorized with a sparkling silver headband, black high heels, and sparkly silver rings.
