What Are Dad Shorts?
What are dad shorts, you ask? Dad shorts are pretty easy to spot and differentiate from regular shorts, as they come with a baggier silhouette than regular shorts, as well as a longer length. Most dad shorts tend to rest on the knee, although we have seen some celebs rock a few that end quite a few inches above the knee too.
Mom shorts, on the other hand, just for comparison, are categorized by their much higher waistlines. They too tend to come in slightly more modest, longer lengths and usually have a slightly looser fit around the upper thighs.

Mrs Bieber recently wore some knee-length white dad shorts on the streets of New York, teamed with her favorite cropped white T-shirt – a great way to balance out your silhouette when wearing oversized pieces – teamed with a black belt, black The Row fisherman sandals with white socks underneath and a black Bottega Veneta Andiamo bag. She also wore a stylish pair of Saint Laurent shades, and for jewelry, went for small gold hoop earrings. Her short hair was worn in a sleek and straight down do and neatly tucked behind her ears to let the earrings have their moment.
On another occasion, this time in LA, Hailey rocked a slightly shorter pair of frayed denim dad shorts, and made just as much of a statement. She teamed them with her beloved cropped white Leset Kelly slim fit T-shirt, a black Miu Miu belt, a Magda Butrym trench coat, a black Bottega Veneta Jodie bag, and black The Row fisherman sandals, which she once again wore with a pair of white socks underneath.
