If you ask us, nothing says “Spring” like a fresh new hair color. Halsey must have had a similar idea in mind when she traded her naturally dark locks for a striking blonde shade. Is there any hair style or color this musician can’t pull off? We highly doubt it. We always love to see the “Without Me” singer’s bold style and hair choices, and this time is no exception. We were totally blown away by how amazing she looked in her recent Instagram post showing off the new color.
“Tree spirit. A quiet May Day morning.” Halsey, who uses she/they pronouns, wrote beneath the photos, adding a tree emoji. It’s a fitting caption; The artist is exuding total ethereal vibes with their light, wavy hair, which is styled with two braids on either side of their face.

In the first slide, we get a gorgeous make-up free selfie that’s giving us serious skin envy. Halsey’s freckled face is dewier than ever. The next shot features the artist in a peachy-colored slip dress with a backdrop of green trees—that’s some extreme fairy energy if we’ve ever seen it. We can also see in this second photograph that Halsey’s hair is long enough to reach the middle of her back; too gorgeous!
Fans were losing it in the comments. “You’re the most beautiful human ever,” one gushed.
“Living for the blonde you,” another praised.
“Blondsey,” a few people affectionately nicknamed the singer to commemorate her new look. And of course, there was no shortage of heart eye emojis. Everyone is obsessed with this color!

Halsey shared a few more photos of their stunning new 'do to their Instagram story. "Have finally reached peak forest witch form," they captioned one video. "But also..." they wrote on their next photo, "Mermaid."
Fairy, forest, witch mermaid... No matter what otherworldly being Halsey is channeling, one thing's for sure: she looks unreal with this new hair.
One of the stylists who handled Halsey's extensions, Violet Teriti, told Allure that she worked alongside stylist and colorist Marty Harper to execute this stunning new look.
"Her hair was black a day before her extensions, and this genius gave her the most beautiful blonde rooted [look] in one day without breaking any of her hair," Teriti praised. She also noted that she used curly extensions to match the singer's own hair "so it's easier for her to have that hair in at least 10 weeks." That's almost long enough to last all summer! We can't wait to see how Halsey continues to style it—or which color she'll choose next!
