Sausage and Lentil Stew

"Sausage and Lentil Stew is a crock pot meal that contains fiber, protein, and many vitamins and minerals necessary to stay full while avoiding empty calories," Lisa Richards, certified nutritional coach and creator of The Candida Diet tells us.

"This meal can be made with lentils and traditional or plant based sausage. It can also be made without sausage as the extra protein is not necessary considering the amount of protein found in lentils. Add onions, carrots, spinach, and any other vegetables you like along with cumin for a nutrient rich, high fiber meal that requires little preparation or cleanup."
