One of today’s most beloved fast food restaurants is Chick-fil-A, but when you’re on a weight loss journey, it can be hard to enjoy their food without feeling guilty.

Luckily, weight loss experts, coaches, dietitians, and others have found ways to make their menu items a lot more suitable for losing extra pounds and crafting low-calorie, high-protein meals. The key is making mindful choices like opting for grilled chicken over fried, swapping fries for a side salad, and choosing lighter dressings. But what about breakfast?

Chelsea Lary, RD, is a registered dietitian who specializes in weight loss and is a content creator known for her realistic approach to slimming down. With thousands of followers on TikTok, she shares practical tips for navigating food choices at popular restaurants and grocery stores.

Chelsea Orders An Egg White Grill & Yogurt Parfait

While it can be hard to resist a savory Chicken Biscuit or Breakfast Burrito, Chick-fil-A's Egg White Grill is one of the chain's most underrated healthy breakfast picks. With just 300 calories and a solid 26 grams of protein, it's a smart option for anyone trying to eat better without skipping flavor.

The sandwich is made with grilled chicken, egg whites, and a toasted multigrain English muffin, which is why Chelsea labels it as a "satisfying" breakfast choice that won't leave you feeling weighed down, while keeping you full for the morning. To bump up your breakfast meal, Chelsea suggests adding a side of their Berry Parfait, with vanilla-flavored yogurt and fresh berries.

However, she does make a few tweaks to take off a few excess calories and reduce the amount of added sugar you eat. After ordering, the dietitian eats her yogurt without the crunchy granola or cookie topping.

Why Chelsea's Breakfast Order Works

Chelsea's filling Chick-fil-a breakfast adds up to approximately 500 calories and 40 grams of protein. While that may sound like a lot, she explains why it's still a smart idea in the caption.

"Don't come at me saying 500 calories is too many," she wrote.

"Sure, you could eat a 250-calorie breakfast, but then you're [probably] going to be hungry again in an hour, and by the time you make it to lunch, you could have consumed well over 300 extra calories just in snacks in between."

In addition to filling up on a solid amount of calories and protein, Chelsea's order also covers all of the best food groups for a satiating meal, like carbs in the English muffin, protein in the eggs and yogurt, and fiber in the berries. Having all of these elements means that when you eat this meal, your body will have what it needs to give you a boost of energy and keep you feeling full.

"Try an actual breakfast, and you'll likely feel satisfied until lunch!" added the weight loss dietitian.
