Although fans are enjoying the guest hosts on what is temporarily known as Today With Jenna & Friends, they are still desperate to know who will be filling in for Hoda Kotb, who left the show at the beginning of this year, full time!
And it seems like Hoda herself is intrigued to know who will be permanently appearing alongside Jenna Bush Hager on the fourth hour, discussing the topic on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Hoda Kotb Discusses Potential 'Today' Co-Hosts
The mom-of-two seemingly doesn't know who her full-time replacement will be, but explained that it has to be someone who "clicks great with Jenna." And Today's Savannah Guthrie seems to be one of the top contenders!
“Anybody would be, like, so lucky. But to me, the contenders are Savannah. I think she would be great," Kotb said, before throwing other names into the mix too! "I think Justin Sylvester is amazing. Scarlett Johansson crushed it."
The Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast host had even more potentials to add to her list, saying: "And Matt Rogers is great. And also our dear friend Sheinelle Jones, who is going through a horrible time, but I think she would be good."

Fan Comments
While Savannah may be one of the top contenders for Hoda, it seems like the internet doesn't share the same opinion. "Not Savannah! She does enough. Let someone else do it!" exclaimed one fan on a WWHL Instagram post. "I will never watch it again if it's Savannah! My vote is Erin Andrews!" wrote a second, as a third simply said: "NO Savannah."
Many others thought that Sheinelle Jones, who recently lost her husband to brain cancer and has been taking some time off from the show, would be perfect. "Sheinelle would be amazing," thought a fourth fan, followed by the red heart emoji. "Please wait for Sheinelle," agreed a fifth, followed by the two hearts emoji, as a sixth concurred: "Sheinelle, please. Once she's back on her feet… We love her."
"Justin Sylvester all day!" added another viewer, followed by the fire and hand clapping emojis. "Justin Sylvester! I'd like to see a man/woman team," echoed another.
