It’s no secret that Donald Trump has been making numerous headlines during his second term as president, but recently, some are more related to his health than his policies.

The president recently raised some eyebrows and sparked concerns after he made a scene at a press conference about how he was tired of standing during speeches and insisted on sitting down. This didn’t come long after he attended a summit this summer with swollen and discolored hands, leading Americans and other internet users to assume that there might be more wrong with the leader’s health than he and his team are letting on. Read more about his press conference appearance below.

Donald Trump Complains About Standing During A Recent Press Conference

On October 16th, the 79-year-old appeared at a White House press conference. He spoke and answered questions alongside the U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as they talked about their efforts to expand in vitro fertilization (IVF) accessibility in America.

At the beginning of the conference, where Trump stood at a podium to address other politicians and members of the press, it didn't take long for him to start going off topic to complain about how he was feeling physically.

"Yesterday I did this and I stood for about an hour and a half as people spoke," he said, as reported by the Daily Beast. "This time I'm sitting right there, and I'm gonna watch you," he said while pointing to his chair at the Resolute desk.

For a few more moments, the president reportedly continued to make quips about having to stand for an extended period of time during previous engagements, stating things like, "It was wonderful listening to them, but I said, 'If I have to do this every day...'" At another point, he had to stop to ask "Bobby," or RFK Jr., if he "should stand or sit," when the secretary reassured him it was alright to stay seated.

Fans Express Health Concerns For Trump On Social Media

This is not one of the first times the public has seen the dad-of-five complain about his health, but he's also physically shown signs that something is going on. Earlier this year, his physicians declared in a statement for the media that he has chronic venous insufficiency, but after seeing other signs, many are left wondering if there's more he's not telling the public about.

For instance, at the G7 Summit this summer, the president alarmed people around the world when he arrived with "swollen and discolored" hands, leading people to speculate on what other conditions he may or may not have. After this latest press conference, they weighed in on social media platforms like Instagram and reacted to his behavior.

"Age takes its toll," commented a user.

"He looks weak!" added another.

We'll be curious to see if the president acknowledges the backlash and concerns from the IVF-themed conference. Still, for now, he continues to maintain his story that his chronic venous insufficiency is not stopping him from leading and that he's feeling just fine.
