Kanye West and Instagram model Chaney Jones are confusing fans this week after a tumultuous turn of events on social media. The couple officially confirmed their relationship in March, after the duo were first spotted together on dates earlier this year following the rapper’s February split with Julia Fox.
Ever since, both the Grammy winner, 45, and influencer, 24, have publicly declared their affection for each other on Instagram with multiple posts, but Jones just sent fans in a frenzy after she wiped all photos with West from her profile— huh?

After Jones mysteriously deleted all of her pics and selfies with Ye, fans began tweeting and commenting, speculating that the two had broken up. This move from Jones came after TMZ shared a fan-shot photo of the musician appearing to be on a movie theater date with swimwear and OnlyFans model Monica Corgan, 23. Soon after this image began circulating online, Jones surprisingly uploaded a video of the Donda hitmaker on his birthday (and seemed to confirm the opposite of what many suspected— that they are together?)
To celebrate Ye’s 45th trip around the sun, Jones shared a video of him on June 9th, that shows the two together in a car while playing around with the IG app filters. “Happy birthday baby, I love youuuu,” she wrote, seeming to put those break-up rumors to rest. She added another clip to her story, showing her and the “Runaway” artist laughing at their distorted faces with the filter effects. She captioned it, “Laughing with you is my favorite.”

Later that day, Jones headed to a gossip account IG post that dubbed her and Ye as “broken up.” Jones commented, “Please stop posting and spreading fake news about my relationship. Have some respect, it’s his birthday.” Just a few days earlier, a source reportedly told Page Six that their relationship had become “choppy” after their recent trip together to Tokyo. Referring to Ye’s infamously erratic behavior, the source allegedly added, “You know how things are. Tomorrow they might be posted together again.”
While some fans are convinced that the pair “broke up and got back together” and others describe their entire relationship as a “publicity stunt,” Jones and West appear to still be seeing each other, based on her IG activity. Ultimately, “Time will tell,” when it comes to Ye’s cryptic and unpredictable romantic escapades, as another fan tweeted.
