Ivanka Trump Shares Her Thoughts on Politics
“I love policy and impact. I hate politics, and unfortunately, the two are not separable,” she revealed. “There’s a darkness in that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.”
She explained that, despite the president’s constant interactions and communication with others, the role is, as she put it, “lonely.”
“The enormity of the decisions you’re making on a daily basis, how transactional everyone is with you… it’s a very lonely perch,” Ivanka said.
While Ivanka worked directly with her father during his first term, this time, she plans to support him in a different way.
“I’m most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter. To take his mind off things and watch a movie with him or watch a sports game, to know that he can be with me and be himself and just relax,” she concluded.
