A few weeks ago, the country singer stepped on stage at a music festival in Ohio, where comedic actor Kevin James joined him dressed in a similar outfit for a performance of one of his hit songs. They later revealed they were good friends, which was pleasantly surprising to fans and music lovers, as they coincidentally have also opened up about their recent health journeys. Kevin James Joins Jelly Roll On Stage During Music Festival
On June 21, 2025, Jelly Roll and Kevin James surprised the crowd at the Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio, when they did a surprise duet performance of the singer's song, "Need a Favor."
Dressed alike in all-black outfits with matching baseball caps, the famous men looked like twins as they sang, grooved, and laughed on stage. It certainly was a memorable moment for their fans, which quickly went viral on social media.
After the performance, in an interview with People, the King of Queens actor told the magazine that he and the "Son of A Sinner" singer were actually pals.
"I'm a good friend of his," Kevin said. "[He is] a wonderful human being."

Jelly Roll And Kevin Have Been On Weight Loss Journeys
One of the most interesting things about the two stars and their friendships is that each of them has been on their own respective health and weight loss journeys.
The Mall Cop icon has shed a significant amount of weight over the years, crediting a consistent workout routine and healthier eating habits in various interviews. To lose weight for previous roles, he's cut out processed snacks and increased his exercise.
These days, he's focused on making more gradual and consistent weight loss progress, telling podcast host Joe Rogan, "You don't need a lot of stuff, but you need something to engage yourself every day."
Jelly Roll, whose name is Jason, has also been extremely open about his outstanding weight loss journey, having lost nearly 200 pounds. He's shared some of his favorite weight loss recipes and revealed in interviews that getting daily exercise, eating more protein, and drinking more water have helped him tremendously.
