Jelly Roll has been consistently wowing his fans and viewers with his impressive weight loss of over 180 pounds, and now his chef giving them even more insight into how the country singer does it with his delicious on-the-road healthy snacks.

Jelly Roll’s personal chef, Ian Larios, is in charge of the pre-show fuel and post-show protein for the singer, making sure he has the proper nutrients to perform and recover on the road. In a video uploaded to Jelly Roll’s Instagram account, Chef Larios breaks it down for his fans: “One of his favorite pre-show snacks is banana,” he said, adding the slices of banana to be bowl, ready to be topped with “Manuka honey, stevia-sweetened dark chocolate grated over the top.”
As for after his performance, Jelly Roll, whose birth name is Jason Bradley DeFord, prioritizes protein. “Sticking to a high protein diet, we’re going to do Nashville-style hot chicken, taking away the oil and the batter from it,” Chef Larios explained.
“Chicken breast, some potato flour, and a little bit of rice flour” makes up the breading, and even on a diet, Jelly Roll gets to have french fries—home made of course. However, Chief Larios boils them in bone broth instead of oil and then crisps them up in an air fryer, incorporating in a little extra protein yet still delivering that crunch.
