Anyone who watches the Today Show knows that one of the show’s most beloved stars is Jenna Bush Hager, who stuck around after her co-host, Hoda Kotb, made her surprising departure from the network to spend more time with her daughters. However, some fans may be worried to hear that the current host is starting to evaluate her plans for when her time on-air comes to an end.
This week, the Today With Jenna & Friends host spoke candidly about what she wants her life to look like when her days as the show’s star come to an end. She noted that eventually, she will have to step down, and when she does, she wants her family to make a drastic move, leading to a “different life.” The news is quite interesting, considering that over the last few months, most viewers have been buzzing about Hoda’s exit. Now, they’re going to have to start thinking about Jenna’s. Read more about what she had to say regarding her “next chapter” below.
Jenna Bush Hager Teases Her Departure From The 'Today' Show
Earlier this morning, for today's latest episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, the 43-year-old co-host began talking about her future away from the popular daytime series, which was quite interesting, considering the network has reportedly been on the search for someone to join her as a co-host after former host Hoda Kotb stepped down. However, she's begun thinking about what things will look like when she's ready to do the same.
The television personality was chatting with her current guest co-host, comedian and podcaster Matt Rogers, and felt comfortable enough to talk about the hopes and "dreams" she has for the next era of her life, saying, "I have this sort of dream...I just think everybody should have chapters in their lives."
"I have a dream, I don't know how realistic it is, but when the Jenna & Friends chapter comes to a close," she continued, before Matt cut her off and jokingly asked her, "Why would that ever happen?"
The host then went on to say that her television career was "linear" before revealing her big plans for not only herself, but for her family following her eventual departure from the pop culture, news, and lifestyle-themed show.

Jenna Reveals She'd Want To Move Her Family To Texas When She Leaves 'Today With Jenna & Friends'
Once the joking between her and Matt settled down, the journalist got vulnerable again and shared that she had one substantial yet straightforward hope for her family, which includes her husband, Henry Hager, and their three young children, once her show time "comes to a close."
"When I'm ready to go to my next chapter, I think it would be so nice to move back to Texas and let my kids — I mean, I went to a big public high school — have a different life," she admitted.
The Texas native ended up revealing this little factoid after she and Matt mentioned that they both "love" Austin, Texas, which is one of two cities in the massive state she spent her childhood and high school years in. Before her father, George W. Bush, became the President of the United States, Jenna was reportedly very active throughout her young adult life in Texas. Eventually, she went on to attend her famous mother, Laura Bush's, alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin.
After making her comment, the mom of three and her guest co-host went back to talking about pop culture subjects. However, what she had to say is already raising some eyebrows online. Given that her kids are still relatively young, if she wants to give them a "different life" outside of their current living situation in Greenwich, Connecticut, to accommodate her show schedule, some wonder if she'll make her departure from the uber-popular series in the months or years to come.
