Aniston took to social media on January 27, posting a picture of herself in full glam with some freshly done highlights to accentuate the stunning look. Jen posed with longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan who seemed to work his magic yet again with another iconic style, grinning widely in her dressing room. She captioned the snap, “Aaand, we're back…” with a starry eyed emoji, signaling that season 2 of the popular Apple TV+ series had begun filming.
Aniston’s The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon commented on the stunning photo, which unsurprisingly garnered over 4 million likes, writing, “YES WE ARE!! 💕.” The 51-year-old’s Friends co-star Courtney Cox also seemed to love the update, commenting, “Gorgeous girl ♥️.”
Both Aniston and Cox are gearing up for the much anticipated Friends reunion which is scheduled to start filming in early spring, according to fellow cast member Lisa Kudrow. Kudrow, who plays Phoebe on the hit series, has revealed that all of the original cast members have signed on for the reunion. However, she did clarify that they will not be reprising their roles, but rather reuniting as themselves to discuss their time on the show.
"It's not a reboot," she said to Rob Lowe on his podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe. "It's not like a scripted thing, we're not portraying our characters. It's us getting together, which just doesn't happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped."
