Jennifer Lawrence has steadily built a reputation as a street style star. A devoted fan of The Row, the actress often opts for simple yet chic statement pieces. Recently, she put a bold twist on a divisive trend—the vest—by giving it a floral makeover.

On Thursday, the Oscar winner stepped out for a dinner date with her husband in Tribeca, looking effortlessly cool in a white T-shirt layered under a qipao-inspired black vest adorned with vibrant floral embroidery. She completed the look with baggy denim jeans, black strappy sandals, tiny sunglasses, and a Fendi Adele bag slung over her arm.

Her husband, Cooke Maroney looked sharp in a pinstripe button-down layered over a white shirt, paired with navy trousers and crisp white sneakers.

While the duo looked classy, many fans weren't impressed with her street style this. On Instagram, one user asked, "Why does she dress like a 65-year-old woman?" Another person said, "I normally love her fashion, but this vest [confused emoji]."

"[The vest] doesn’t work with those big boyfriend pants," noted one user. Someone else wrote, "I can't decide if I like it or not."

Just recently, the Hunger Games star stepped out in a breezy, elegant ivory outfit—subtly hinting at her second child’s name with a necklace featuring their initial.

Rumors suggest she welcomed a baby girl around March, and she offered a glimpse into life with two children during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 18.

“Having children changes everything; it changes your whole life,” she said at the press conference.

“I didn’t know that I could feel so much, and my job has a lot to do with emotion. They’ve opened up the world to me. It’s almost feeling like a blister or something—so sensitive. So they’ve changed my life, obviously, for the best, and they’ve changed me creatively,” the Hunger Games star said.

She concluded, “I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor.”
