She may have not walked the red carpet for the American Music Awards on Sunday, November 21st – talk about disappointment! – but Jennifer Lopez certainly made up for it with her explosive on-stage appearance. We guess we can forgive her for not sashaying down the red carpet, although as the unofficial dress code was ‘barely-there, see-through, and extremely racy ensembles,’ we know she would have knocked it out of the park!
Lopez is taking her new movie Marry Me‘s promotion very seriously, as she took to the AMAs stage for a stunning performance of the original song, “On My Way (Marry Me)” looking like an actual bride! The movie is out on February 11th, 2022 (just in time for Valentine’s Day!) and also stars Maluma, Owen Wilson, and Sarah Silverman. If you weren’t already excited about seeing the movie after watching the trailer that came out a few days prior, you definitely will be after witnessing J-Lo’s breath-taking performance!

J-Lo ran with the wedding theme of the song and the movie by going full on bridal with her on-stage look. What does Ben Affleck think, we wonder?! The 52-year-old singer and actress looked phenomenal on the stage, wearing a nude corseted wedding dress that was designed by Dolce & Gabbana, which came complete with a matching short veil headpiece. Intricate headwear was definitely another sartorial theme of the evening – just ask Cardi B! – and J-Lo's certainly didn’t disappoint either!

J-Lo completed her bridal look with Messika jewelry, and toughened the look up by wearing lace-up nude boots, which seemed to be very popular at the awards ceremony as Carrie Underwood also rocked some fierce boots for her own performance of "If I Didn’t Love You" with Jason Aldean. She wore her hair in a sleek bun – which was revealed after she tossed her headpiece into the crowd – and in terms of makeup, she sported a smokey eye and a nude lip. J-Lo was perfection – and we wouldn’t expect anything less!
