Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are celebrating 10 years of marriage this October! The 7th Heaven icon just sat down with Access Hollywood to discuss how she and her husband have grown and whaat they’ve learned in their first decade as a married couple.
Biel, 40 and Timberlake, 41, married in Italy in 2012 and had a headline-making, lavish and star-studded ceremony. Since then, the two have welcomed sons Silas, 7, and Phineas, 2, and Biel revealed that their marriage has had plenty of “ups and downs.” Still, Biel stressed that she is the “happiest” she’s ever been by Timberlake’s side.

The Candy star spoke to the outlet about their wedding anniversary that is coming up, and said that time has “flown by,” and that she is “very proud” of her marriage. (10 years is certainly a long time in Hollywood!) “I sometimes feel like 10 years has just flown by in the blink of an eye and other times I feel like: ‘Oh my gosh, 10 years, that’s a really substantial amount of someone’s life,’” she said. “I just feel really proud of it.” She continued, “We’ve had our ups and downs like everybody and I’m just really proud of it and I’m still the happiest, and loving my life.”
Last year, Timberlake issued a public apology on Instagram to his ex girlfriend, Britney Spears, and fellow performer Janet Jackson after the New York Times‘ Framing Britney Spears documentary came out (perhaps one of the ‘downs’ Biel mentioned). Viewers and fans began suggesting that Timberlake played a major role in the disruption of both women’s careers and their struggles to stay relevant in the spotlight (from his vulgar comments about young Spears in the early 2000s to him making jokes about Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction on-stage at the 2004 Super Bowl).

After Timberlake posted an apology to both singers, Biel commented “I love you” on his post, showing that she supported him throughout the controversy. At the time, Timberlake wrote, “I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.” He added, “I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from.”
Biel also publicly supported Timberlake in 2019 after cheating rumors emerged from paparazzi-shot photos of the “Cry Me A River” hitmaker holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright. At the time, Timberlake also utilized social media to apologize to his wife and children for the incident.

He wrote, “I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focusing on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that,” he said after revealing that he “drank way too much” that night. The former *NSYNC member added, “but let me be clear – nothing happened between me and my costar,” and denied any and all cheating rumors. Glad to see the beloved celeb couple still going strong 3 years later!
