The “Open Book” author showed off her new svelte physique on Instagram on July 10th ahead of her milestone birthday–only to find that fans posted that her new look is “scary.” You can’t win!

Fans called Jess “way too skinny” after the fashion mogul showed off her 100-pound weight loss to the platform last week. See for yourself:
The “Newlyweds” alum posted that she wanted to see if she could squeeze into a pair of 14-year-old True Religion jeans from her twenties. And guess what! The actress clearly had no problem getting into the vintage denim.
“I have kept these throwback True Religion jeans in my closet for 14 yrs (I’m not exaggerating!),” she wrote on the post, which has since garnered over 360K likes.

"I figured that since I’m in the final hours of my 30’s I’d give them another try, and hello 40, so nice to meet you," she continued. Wow!
"Mad Men" star January Jones was one of Jess' many followers who left a positive comment on the post. "You look about 15 lady," she wrote. January's not wrong!

But not so fast--some fans weren't so impressed by the star's shrinking frame. "Love you!! But you look so much better with curves," wrote one user. "Girl you need a cheeseburger!" wrote another.
