Jennifer Lopez is known for maintaining her youthful looks, and, at 51, the star looks better than ever. Even quarantine could not get in the way of J.Lo looking her absolute best–and we recently found out exactly how she was able to keep up with her beauty regimen even while salons were closed.
Thanks to J.Lo’s longtime hairstylist Tracey Cunningham explained how the superstar kept her hair looking its best during quarantine. Check out her Instagram post here!
Although her caption might be a little too technical for us to fully understand, we managed to decode the majority of it; your hairstylist can figure out the rest.
According to Cunningham's post, J.Lo ditched her golden highlights throughout quarantine. Instead, the singer applied her own base color throughout quarantine to take care of her roots. Other than that, she embraced her naturally darker color.
Cunningham explained, "I’m so grateful during #covid_19 my clients were so cool about doing there own bases at home. Even @jlo didn’t mind applying her own base color and didn’t have highlights the whole #quarantine."
The post explains that the colorist sent base kits home to her clients when she couldn't see them so that they could try their hand at their own DIY hair color.
Plus, the expert colorist is making it easier than ever to copy J.Lo's look for yourself, including the exact formula of Redken dyes she uses in the caption.
Lopez responded to the post with three heart emojis.
Lisa Ann Walter, also known as "Chessy" in The Parent Trap, also commented on the post, writing, "As a happy recipient - thank you all for your 'care packages.' It felt so wonderful that you sent your love home to us."
Although we loved her natural brunette hair, J.Lo really cannot do any wrong--and now that salons are back to business, she is back to blonde. Her fresh honey highlights look amazing (as always)--and they're the perfect transition look for fall!
