The 83rd annual Golde Globe Awards took place almost a week ago at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 11th, and the internet is still buzzing over many standout moments.
One of those moments came courtesy of Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts. Although she missed out on winning ‘Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama’ – which went to Jessie Buckley for her role in Hamnet – she still received plenty of love from the audience when she hit the stage to present an award.
Julia Roberts Rocks A Plunging Giorgio Armani Gown At The Golden Globes And Receives A Standing Ovation
The 58-year-old Pretty Woman alum took to the stage towards the end of the evening to present the award for 'Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.' As she arrived on stage, she received a standing ovation from the audience, which she handled with grace, charm, and best of all, humor!
"Thank you," Roberts gushed, before playfully gesturing to those who hadn’t yet stood up, adding: "Yup. Everybody! Let's go! In the back! Come on!" Reflecting on the ovation, she joked: "I'm gonna be impossible for at least a week. I appreciate that."
Despite not winning the award in her category, she was still very much a style winner, turning heads in a striking long-sleeved black Giorgio Armani gown with a super-daring plunging front that showcased her statement strawberry pendant necklace.
Her strawberry blonde hair was worn in a center-parted curly down do, and her makeup was equally glamorous, featuring rosy pink cheeks and a subtle pink lip.
