Julianne Hough Reveals She Wants To Have Her Head Shaved In Bhutan During A Podcast Interview
The successful dancer and actress has been making waves after going from a popular core cast member on DWTS to the show's host, bringing her fun and upbeat personality to the famous ballroom dance competition and occasionally taking part in a cool cast dance routine for some special episodes.
Fans have come to love Julianne's presence on the show, knowing she's been through the same experience as a dancer. However, there's a chance she could be looking a little different at some point during the current season, or the next one. On the podcast, Not Skinny but Not Fat, she revealed that she wants to take a life-changing trip in the near future, one that involves a drastic haircut transformation.
"I have this thing on my list of things I want to do: I want to go to Bhutan and shave my head with a monk," she admitted during the episode. "It was just to shave my head, but now there's two added layers: Bhutan and a monk."
She noted that while she's been wanting to shave her head for a long time, the 37-year-old decided she wanted to make a more transformative journey out of it by traveling to the Himalayas. However, she noted that she's also already thought about how those on Dancing With the Stars may not approve of the new look, but she already spoke with her hairstylist to have a wig at the ready for her return to the air.
"I was like, 'We need to replicate this as a wig so that I can just [shave it] and then know that I'm good for work,'" she added. "It's weird. I've been wanting to do this my whole life."
Fans React To Julianne's Shaved Head Plans On Social Media
Once the Footloose star admitted her "lifelong dream" of shaving her head in Bhutan, the internet began buzzing, as it seemed like such an out-of-the-box dream for the glamorous dance star. Some people even began to wonder if it was a sign that something serious was going on in her personal life.
When word got out on social media platforms like Instagram, people flooded the comments section and couldn't get over how interesting her goal was.
"Would love to know her story…just a few hours to understand what happened here," commented an Instagram user.
"She is forever searching for herself," added another.
One fan wrote they felt like Julianne must be having a "midlife crisis," while another added that they felt like she needed "serious help."
"This woman craves attention," added a critic in the comments.
Although she hasn't opened up too much more on this whole shaved head situation, it looks like her fans are divided, with some feeling like she should do whatever she wants to make herself happy, while others are not into the idea at all.
