Kate Hudson is known for her extremely fit figure, having starred in movies like How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Bride Wars as the very attractive love interest. But just because she has a toned body doesn’t mean she doesn’t love to snack like the rest of us. The 44-year-old revealed to Harper’s BAZAAR exactly what she eats in a day, including a particularly cheesy high-protein snack. Keep reading for more information.
Breakfast
Kate prefers not to eat first thing in the morning, and instead enjoys a glass of celery juice: “If anybody does celery juice on an empty stomach, they know why,” the actress added.
But if she does have breakfast, she’ll either have soft boiled eggs with sourdough and avocado, topped with olive oil and sea salt, or a warm bowl of oatmeal with almond butter, bananas, blueberries, cinnamon, chia seeds, and walnuts.
Lunch
Lunch goes one of two ways for the mother-of-three: an on-the-go smoothie, or a hand-crafted salad. For the smoothie, Kate likes to make sure it’s “protein-based,” Banana, almond butter, and chocolate is one of her favorite combos.
In terms of a salad, Kate says “La Scala is a staple, and they do the most amazing chopped salad. I do extra salami, no cheese, cucumbers, no tomatoes, basil, and extra dressing.
Snack
"I try not to be a big snacker," Kate says, noting that she finds she has trouble fitting into her jeans during times when she snacks a lot. "But I love a snack," she adds.
"I, unfortunately cannot stay away from chips and salsa," she continues. "And Simple Mills makes an amazing almond flour cheddar cracker, like a Cheez-It," she says. The Simple Mills Farmhouse Cheddar almond flour crackers actually have three grams of protein in them per serving.
Dinner
Kate likes to eat dinner with her children, Ryder, Bing, and Rani. "One of my favorite meals that I cook is a nutmeg chicken," she says. "You brown the chicken in the oven, and then when it's done, you take it out and you make this nutmeg gravy."
"It's so insanely yummy," she says. "Another favorite is a sweetcorn pasta that my kids love."
This what-I-eat-in-a-day just goes to show that you can eat pasta, and enjoy your favorite snacks, and still have a healthy body!
