Kate Middleton just proved that neutral is *the* perfect color palette for the autumn season, as she looked so effortlessly chic in a nude, monochrome ensemble when she and husband Prince William attended an official engagement to launch funding for young people’s mental health in Scarborough, England on November 3rd.

The new Princess of Wales, 40, stole the show in a gorgeous Max&Co wool camel coat layered with a Gabriela Hearst turtleneck midi dress in the same shade, which she teamed with a complementary brown belt from Boden tied around her waist.

The Duchess of Cambridge accessorized her stunning look with some Ralph Lauren heels and a toffee-colored mini top-handle DeMellier purse, which complemented the color of her belt and heels. We love the attention to detail! Hair wise, the mom-of-three wore her shiny brunette locks in their signature bouncy blowout, with her Accessorize twisted circle drop earrings peeking through, while her makeup was soft and understated.

Prince William's Outfit

The new Prince of Wales also looked dapper too, as he wore a navy blue suit, with a light blue shirt and a burgundy sweater underneath. Both the Prince and Princess of Wales finished off their outfits with a crimson poppy pin, in honor of the military troops who lost their lives at war.

Drama Surrounding Prince Harry's Memoir

Both William and Kate appeared to put on brave faces for the event, which was their first joint appearance in weeks, in spite of all that is undoubtedly going on behind closed doors as the world waits in anticipation for Prince Harry's bombshell memoir, Spare, to hit the shelves at the start of next year. (The day after Kate's 41st birthday, no less!)

The release of the memoir is reportedly making the royal family more nervous than ever, as royal author Omid Scobie revealed that, despite Prince Harry's best efforts, there were "no last-minute rewrites or edits after the Queen’s death."

"The manuscript was completed almost five months before the monarch’s passing, a detail that will be acknowledged in a note at the start of the book," Scobie said in his Yahoo! News UK column, before hinting that the royal family *might* not have as much to worry about as they feared. "For all the tabloid reports about Harry supposedly 'trashing' his family (spoiler alert: he doesn’t), the book actually offers a more sympathetic look at the realities of their near-impossible existence."
