King Charles, Prince William And Kate Middleton Booed By Protesters
The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with King Charles, were met by protesters from the anti-monarchy group, Republic, outside Westminster Abbey.
Protesters held up bright yellow signs and chanted about their disdain for the monarchy in general, but a large part of their protests was, unsurprisingly, in relation to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Demonstrators were likely referencing the disgraced royal's alleged friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as well as his arrest on his 66th birthday on February 19th. He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and sharing confidential information with Epstein.
As per videos and pictures from the event that have made the rounds online, one of the signs held up by the protesters read, "Charles, what did you know?" alongside a picture of Andrew with Epstein accuser, Virginia Giuffre. Other signs held by the protesters included "not my king," and "down with the crown," among other things. And in one video, protesters shouted "parasites" repeatedly, which could be heard over very loud booing.

As expected, the footage of the royal family being booed quickly sparked debate on social media, with many people siding with the protesters. "Brilliant," wrote one Instagram user. "Well done everyone there," praised a second, preceded by four hand-clapping emojis.
"People are waking up," noted a third, as a fourth echoed: "People are finally starting to realize." "The public is finally catching on," observed a fifth, followed by two crying laughing emojis, as a sixth exclaimed: "How sweet does it sound!"
"Abolish the monarchy," declared a seventh, as an eighth stated: "People have had enough." "Hold them accountable for covering up," demanded a ninth, as a tenth added: "The most important part is not to let them get away with anything!"

However, not everyone supported the protesters, as many people quickly rushed to defend the Prince and Princess of Wales in the comments. "Love William and Catherine," gushed one fan. "I don't like people booing the royals. Don't forget they bring a lot of tourism," noted a second.
"Why are they doing that? If they want to boo at anyone go and do it at Harry and Meghan and Andrew… leave William and Catherine alone," begged a third, as a fourth said: "How awful to hear this."
A fifth chimed in: "I'm American and although I love Will and Kate, we go to England to see your castles, museums and cathedrals. If you took away royalty tomorrow, not much would change. We don't care about Charles and Camilla. The Queen's children have done a lot of damage. Save your monarchy and hand it to Will and Kate, or get rid of it."
