Kate Middleton and Prince William honored the late Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of her death by making a surprise visit to the National Federation of Women’s Institute branch in Sunningdale, which the late monarch joined in 1943 at the age of 17. She was an active member for 80 years, and was also President of the Sandringham WI until her death.
Prince William was scheduled to make a solo appearance, but insiders told the Daily Mail that his wife was “keen to join her husband to commemorate and celebrate the life of the late Queen.” Aww!
The Princess of Wales’ surprise visit came on the same day that Prince Harry attended the 20th Anniversary WellChild Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. He also made a private visit to his late grandmother’s gravesite at St. George’s Chapel that same day.

The Princess of Wales looked effortlessly chic and elegant in an Alessandra Rich tartan dress, featuring a Peter Pan collar, three-quarter length puff sleeves, and statement buttons. (Check out some pics here.) She accessorized with Boss sky-high pumps and dazzling Kiki McDonough stud earrings, which she has rocked for well over a decade.
But of course, the biggest talking point was her bouncy brunette blowout, for obvious reasons. After hitting the headlines for her controversial blonde hair color (or wearing a blonde wig if we are to believe many social media users!) the mom-of-three returned to her signature chocolate brown shade, much to the delight of the internet!
