Kelly Clarkson Cancels Opening Night Of Las Vegas Residency
Taking to her Instagram account to make the announcement, Clarkson posted her message to fans: "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars."
"The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve," she continued.
"The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on," she finished.

Social Media Reactions
Needless to say, her fans weren't too happy with the singer for the short notice on the cancelation, as many had planned their trips to Vegas around the concert. "I genuinely believe artists should have to reimburse fans that travel for their shows and then cancel at the last minute," one person wrote in the comment section of Kelly's post. "I do not blame her for canceling as I'm sure it was necessary. But there has to be some repercussion. Something for the people that spent thousands to get there."
"I'm literally here in a homemade Kelly Clarkson tshirt," one user commented. "I spent $700 on flights and $1000 on hotel. Canceling one hour before the show is INSANE."
"We spent a LOT of money for you to cancel literally 30 minutes before show time," a final person wrote. "A lot of us cannot afford to travel to Las Vegas, take off work, and pay for hotels. Ticketmaster is NOT refunding either because you POSTPONED instead of CANCELLING."
