During her performance, Clarkson, 41, opted for a slower, ballad-like rendition of the dance-pop hit, accompanied by a delicate piano instrumental. Showcasing her goosebump-inducing vibrato and expert breath control, Clarkson treated her live studio audience and viewers to her take on the famous tune.
After the official Kelly Clarkson Show Instagram account shared a clip of Clarkson's cover, fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts on her spin on it.
"This shattered my soul. Never have I heard this song so heartbreaking. Literally started crying," one wrote as another added: "I was not prepared for this. INCREDIBLE."
